Hi,

I’m Pastor Jim Jim & Faith Tieszen Tieszen. I’ve been married to Faith for more than 30 years. We have two adult children and a grand dog. Faith has been teaching kindergarten at Austin school since 1985. I’ve been Hillside’s pastor since 1983. My bachelor’s degree is from Crown College in Minnesota. My master’s and doctorate degrees are from Bethel Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota.

I believe that every human being craves a connection to spiritual reality. At Hillside I lead a small crowd of individuals who are engaged in doing just that. What we have found is that spiritual reality finds its shape and strength in Christianity. Christianity works. It comes through on its promise to bring spiritual life and hope in this world and the next.

That’s why I’m at Hillside. I’m an imperfect person on a spiritual journey with a wonderful group of other imperfect people. After several visits you may wish to join us.
